Weisser Family | June Update

It’s hard to believe that we are halfway through summer! Our kids go back to school the first week of August so it feels like this summer is flying by. June was a particularly filled month with lots of fun and crazy things.

What we did this month:

  • I celebrated my 30th birthday!

  • We went on some family hikes and fishing days

  • We renewed of Zoo Atlanta membership (I generally do one membership a year to a special place for our family to enjoy and the zoo seems to be one we keep coming back to as a favorite)

  • Had VBS at our church to kick off the summer

  • Survived a (2 week long!) stomach bug in our house

  • Made homemade pasta for the first time with my birthday present (KitchenAid Pasta Attachment)

  • The kids and I visited Florida while Nate was out of the country on a mission trip

  • While in Florida Millie had a fall and needed a little ER visit. After some Steri Strips and some glue she was as good as new- but now can’t get wet for a few weeks- which is really inconvenient timing when we have such a hot summer

Summer Goals

  • Continue to try to actually use my camera to take photos of the kids Did much better this month!

  • Practice social media free summer Still going strong

  • Cook and eat 3 meals a day That third meal is always the hardest for me. Generally if we have a good breakfast we have a lazy lunch, or vice versa. Stacktray lunches have been a big hit this summer.

  • Navigate motherhood and working with all 4 kids home for the summer Still need to work on this

  • Read 2 books Finished Allie Beth Stuckey’s You’re Not Enough (And That’s Okay) Currently reading P.S. It’s Gonna Be Good, by Heidi Lee Anderson, and listening to The Great Sex Rescue

  • Continue to blog 3x/week and create a new youtube video at least 2x/month On track with this

  • Plan activities for our family to enjoy together- go on more hikes, camping trips, fishing, etc. On track with this

  • Start and end Q3 strong! On track with this

On to July!
