Allison and Zach
Zach and Allison are both from Cleveland and grew up together in the same school, same grade, but just as different people with different social circles. Their paths crossed again a couple years ago, and have been happy in love ever since. They consider themselves very simple people with a love for nature. In fact, one of the reasons they loved the venue they chose was the beautiful backdrop of Mt Yonah it offered! They love their families, their friends, their two pups Piper and Riley, and going on the lake to fish. When I first met Allison, I loved hearing the story of how they got reconnected after school. Zach invited Allison over to a bonfire (I believe) at his house and sent her this long message with instructions on how to get to the house. Little did she know that the address was next door to her parent's house.
Allison and Zach's Southwind Terrace Wedding
Zach and Allison choose to not have a bridal party for their wedding- giving their friends the opportunity to truly celebrate with them in the moment of their wedding day (which I thought was really cool!). When I arrived to Allison's home Saturday morning, instead of being greeted by a big bridal party, her mom welcomed me to the door, gave me a tour, offered me some food, and treated me like I was one of her children. Watching Allison getting ready was so incredibly sweet. Families members arrived to the house to sit and chat in the living room and would occasionally peek in the room- tell her how beautiful she was, snap a few iphone photos, give a few hugs and head back to the living room. It almost felt like Thanksgiving morning to me- everyone was smiling, and laughing, and sharing stories and memories.
Both Zach, and Allison and their families were so incredibly kind and wonderful to be around. It was so sweet to be able to meet the families of these two, and learn about the people who raised them to be so amazing and kind. This wedding was one I will never forget. One filled with so many incredible people, incredible stories, and incredible personalized touches.
