The Haywood Family
I've known Sam and Darby before they were "Sam and Darby". I first met Sam in college. He lived in the same dorm hall as my husband Nate. I remember lots of hikes, movie nights, ping pong games, trips to the river, and camping with him as Nate and I started dating. Sam is one of my husband's best friends. I also met Darby at college (a year later). She lived in the same dorm as me but on a different floor. After she and Sam started dating and I got to know her a little better and we ended up in the same major so we spent a lot of time together. Fast forward a little bit, and right after I decided to open my photography business in 2016 Sam asked me to photograph their proposal. Then I photographed their engagement session, wedding, pregnancy announcements, maternity session, newborn session of their first child, family photos, another pregnancy announcement, and now the birth of their son Shepherd Banks. The Haywoods have been the biggest supporters in my business since day one and it is such a treasure for me to have the chance to document so many amazing milestones in their family.

Shepherd was born on January 4th at 8:04 am. He weighed 8 lbs and 2 ounces and at first glance looked JUST like his big sister Monroe to me at birth.
His newborn session was so special to me because it was the first time I got to meet our friend's new baby! He was a DREAM! Slept through the entire thing as big sister jumped around the studio and played with toys.
Banks Newborn Session at the Clarkesville Studio
The whole family utilized the client wardrobe. From mom in a beautiful blue and white detailed maxi dress, dad in a gray linen button-up, and big sister Monroe in a soft gray dress, the family didn't have to worry about planning ahead of time. I love when families are able to walk right into the studio knowing that they are taken care of from top to bottom with beautiful pieces that photograph really well!
